On November 21, 2015 The Islamic institute participated in “Inter religious Prayer for Peace” program organized by St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Imam Nihat Yesil recited verses from Quran and provided English translation as representing the Muslim community in Houston metroplex. Several faith community representatives prayed for the peace in their own traditions. Once again faithful people in attendance showed importance of these types of inter religious activities to achieve peace not only in our community but also in the world.
